Regenerating from

Sierra to Mar

Restoring the Juluchuca Watershed

ReSiMar (Regenerating from Sierra to Mar) is dedicated to restoring the Juluchuca micro-watershed through regenerative, community-led conservation. Focused on five nodes, education, permaculture, water, marine conservation, and reforestation.

By addressing environmental degradation and fostering economic resilience, we are building a sustainable future for the people and ecosystems of the Juluchuca Watershed and acting as a necessary lab for systems change along Mexico’s coasts.

Today you can be part of the change.

With your support, we can expand our impact, strengthen local capacities, scale sustainable solutions, and share this experience with other watersheds on the Pacific Coast of Mexico and around the world.

Regenerate with us, from the mountains to the ocean.

“If it is possible here, it is possible anywhere” David Leventhal, Co-founder of Playa Viva on ReSiMar

We can create the future we want for ourselves.

Because every action we take is securing the change we want for the next generation, this is our 20-YEAR VISION Statement:

Regenerating from the Mountains to the Ocean: An Invitation to Transform the Future On Mexico's Pacific coast, in the Juluchuca Micro-Basin, we are demonstrating that another future is possible. From the mountains to the ocean, local communities are leading a process of regeneration that restores ecosystems, strengthens the community economy, and restores hope to entire generations.

We are working with the
community to create a place where:

  • Water flows year-round, and forests breathe again.

  • The land is fertile, the sea is clean and full of life.

  • Children and young people have access to quality education and new opportunities.

  • Women lead, working in supportive cooperatives and on transformative endeavors.

  • Decisions originate from the local level, with equity, trust, and autonomy.

This is not just a project. It is a regenerative, replicable, ethical, and deeply human model. ReSiMar is living proof that regeneration is not a utopia, but a daily practice from which a better future led with love, science, and community is born.
